Sooooooooooooo many days, Sooooooo little posts..........

What have I been up to...well, I'll SHOW you in one second...*drum roll please*

See, my mom even has to take care of me as an adult too hee hee. Now, remember, this isn't the most aesthetically pleasing photograph of us either!!!!
Well, to make a long story short....kids fighting, cat under feet, carrying to many things in my arms and then trying to run= falling and catching my foot under french doors and twisting it breaking it in 8 different places! At least when I do it, I do it right!

The bad part is I have been unable to spin, which is killing me, the last thing I spun was this...........

That gorgeous fiber is a romney blend from Spin Blessings. Sheer heaven I tell ya, sheer heaven*sigh*

Since I have been going through spinning with-draw and in my last ditch futile attempts at driving my family nutso, I have been knitting like a mad woman..wanna see on what???? C.mon, you know I'm gonna do it anyways....
Ok, here goes some Friday afternoon yarn porn for ya.......no mother, not THAT kind of porn, it's what we call pretty yarns or knitted garments and such *snicker* good grief, get your mind out of the gutter woman!!!!

Ok, the black and grey is a sweater for Monkey Boy out of Clever Knits. It's a pretty good pattern and is fairly easy to follow. I did however, misread the pattern for the 3 needle bind off but that's fairly easy to fix. the yarn is Plymought Galway chunky, I kinda like it. It isn't my favorite but it is making a nice kids garment. I'm curious as to how it will care and hold up.

The red is a lace little dress for Monkey girl and her newly formed potty mouth..hey,I gotta do SOMETHING to draw attention away from her longshoreman mouth! The yarn that has tongues wagiing is from the FANTASTIC yarn supplier FEARLESS FIBERS!!! It is 100% merino wool in DK weight and I LOVE it! She is the best at dying and has the most luxurious yarns and her cashmere....uhhhhh it's to DIE for darling!!!Last but certainly not least, bringing up the rear *smirk, that's funny* is a really jaunty little skirt I have been itching to make and I had the PERFECT yarn I wanted to use. Bomell, it's 50-50 wool and cotton blend. oretty nice to work with but I had to go up a needle size to snag the gauge for it (Yes, I most certainly do a test gauge....once bitten twice shy my friend) Anyways, it made the fabric appear looser so I have had this idea running through my head for weeks now...the fact that the fabric was loose made this a perfect opportunity to do it. I have been thinking of a nice skirt, maybe an open type knit work of some sort, I wanted to purchase a pretty and dainty little slip in charcoal or black with a soft lace and have it peep through the open work in the skirt AND have the little lace edging, maybe a 1/2 inch or less just slightly hang from the bottom of the skirt. What's the worst that can happen, I don't like it and I know not to do it again right!!!Well I'll be...this stupid blogger isn't posting photos for me AGAIN so I'll end this post and just do the phots above it :) more than one way to skin a cat!

I told her to say .......

EPIDERAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWWWW My nephew and his wife had their baby last night, she is GORGEOUS of course...any little girl born with our family genes of course will be H-O-T !!! heehee mommy is doing great and so is daddy and baby. Poor Mom got to the hospital and she was already dilated to 5centimeters so you guessed it, by the time the ol' anesthesia guy came rolling around, it was to late BUT she had her little pumpkin 2 hours later so she did ok. What a happy little family they will be! Congrats jason and Chrissy and welcome to the world Gabby.

Now onto a little creation I finished today, I LOVE this purse and it feeds my little obsession with fabric just enough to pacify me. No, really, this bag is adorable and I have already come up with ALL kinds of variations for it floating around in my head. This is called the Record Bowl bag :

It's empty right now of course but not for long. The bottom of the bag is the LP which of course it didn't occur to me until now to photgraph it. I'll have to do that tomorrow when I have good lighting. I am still trodding along on my skirt. I made a little vow to not knit anything else until I finished it and then I found myself INTENTIONALLY avoiding the skirt. I am kinda like that, if I am being forced or forcing myself, I tend to rebel LOL. So, I decided to work on other things again and VIOLA, I am back to knitting it happily. I am one sock finished on Mikaela's trekking pink socks and the back of Mason's sweater is finished and I am working on the front now. I can't wait until that one is done, it will be soooooooooooo cute. He even likes it too. I am SHOCKED!!! Well, the proof will be in the pudding I guess.

Until tomorrow..knit on my friends!!

And on the 7th day..........

God created This..............................

KENNY CHESNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then all was right again in DebbieLand...welcome to MY world!!!

This concert was GREAT!! Thanks King"1", your queen loved it!! King and I have talked many times about memorable events in our lives, of course our wedding and of course the birth of our children, those are given things, we were talking about things that didn't pertain to the obvious....mine was my first kenny Chesney Concert in 2005 and then last night "The Road and the Radio" tour and having him come up right smack dab in front of me, unforgettable and even if it was only for 4 hours in one night out of 365 days a year.......it was 4 hours that I felt just like everyone else, no issues, no kids, no worries, for those 4 hours, I was free! Thank you.

Well, so we aren't the most photogenic, but we sure had a good time!!

This is the Princess WITH the hat, now I ask you, how adorable is THAT? Dunno why the goofy website is deciding to let me post pictures now, maybe it knew I was mad at it and that I wasn't gonna come back if it didn't work!!!!!!

I am gonna try this blogger thing for a bit, not that anyone will read this, but if someone happens on it by chance, I hope they enjoy reading and veiwing the pictures.

Now what have I been working on lately well, ALOT but I have everything on hold right now so that I can finish my skirt for my littlest monkies Baptism. I worked on it for 4 days straight until 2 and 3 in the morning and couldn't for the life of me figure out what was wrong, well, after a wonderful Saturday of shopping with my friend Anne (I'll figure out how to link to her site later) that I FINALLY decided to sit down and really look this thing over. Well, I did and guess what...I MISS COUNTED BY 11 STITCHES.....not one or even two mind you where I could MAYBE, just MAYBE fudge it a bit since it was at the edging noooo, when I screw it up, I do it GOOD!!!! So I started COMPLETELY over in a completely different yarn....I am now using bamboo instead of the linen. No particular reason other then the linen pissed me off LOL. here is my progress thus far on it.......

Isn't that yarn GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE it. I am soooooo glad I used it. The pattern calls for 100% Alpaca but these people OBVIUOSLY did not intend on wearing the skirt for more than just the photo shoot. Alpaca has absolutely NO recovery, not to mention, it's hot and fuzzy ewwwwww!

Now onto the socks for the little Monkey Boy......I finished them and they were adorable, what's the problem you ask????? Well, they are 100% merino wool and they are handpainted...the label for them says machine wash and dry...well, normally, I would NEVER wash my knits like that. I put all that time into them, I damn sure don't wanna toss them in the washer and ruin them BUT the label said.......................so, I decided to do an experiment.....just because it says washable DOESN'T mean it's a good idea :)

Here is what they look like now.....I dunno if it shows up well or not but..........hmmmmmmmmmm, I might have to have "King 1" post this cuz for some reason, I CAN"T ughhhhhhhhhhhh!

Now mind you, this is NOT the persons fault that I bought the yarn from, she gets her yarn from another supplierand then she DIES them. Besides, I did email her and let her know what my test results were and she offered to replace the yarn OR refund my money and I think that was really sweet of her. As soon as I figure out this linking thing, I will link to her site so you can shop with her. You will not believe how amazing her yarns are.

Ok, there ya have it...............an update...............more later!

Well, here we go again...

Let's try this again...maybe "King1" should draw me step by step pictures of how to do a blog!! This is what I have been working on...it is a "princess hat" for my little monkey girl......it is soooooooooooooooo cute. My friend Anne got me started on wanting to knit toys and cutsey things lately. She made these REALLY cute aqua thingies from Knitty and I have been wanting to try my hand at some fun stuff ever since.Hence the Teddy Bear I am starting to make for Monkey Girl. I'll post pictures of that when I get started but for now, here is the crown....drum roll please......UGH and I am AGAIN having problems posting photos............well, we'll just have to have King1 fix this.

I am also working on a cute pair of socks for Monkey Boy, they are 100% merino wool and come from Briar Rose Fibers, once I know how to post links, I'll hook ya up with hers...she is FABULOUS!!! I'll also hook you up to Anne's site, she has some seriously bitchin' lace shawl patterns.......I have ALWAYS wanted to use that in a sentence correctly HAHA!! Well I have ALOT to post and show as soon as I get this situated but until then...eat,sleep and knit on!!!
